On The Menu {week of Jan. 8}

On The Menu {week of Jan. 8}

When I first started eating Paleo-Style, I really benefitted from seeing a few weekly meal plans.  I knew that I could make “meat and vegetables,” but I needed some examples of how to make those things take shape on our plates.

Every weekend I sit down and plan my meals for the week.  I usually go to the Farmer’s Market first, and then make a plan based on what is in season.

This is mainly just a dinner menu.  We usually have eggs, frittatassmoothiesPrimal Oatmealdiced chicken, etc., for breakfast.

We always have leftovers from dinner for lunch the following day.

I hope this helps you as much as it helped me!

I am super-excited about the food we’ll be eating this week!  Paleo food is so delicious… and so REAL!  It’s fantastic to know that we are nourishing our bodies with foods that are beneficial, not detrimental.

Sunday

Dustin’s sweet Aunt and Uncle gave us a giftcard to Bonefish Grill for Christmas!  We LOVE eating there, so we’re going tonight!  Check out their gluten-free menu… I’m definitely getting the Lily’s Chicken.  Oh yeah.

Monday

We’re taking dinner over for some friends of ours on Monday night, and they just HAVE to try the Butternut Squash Lasagna… I know that I just made it a few days ago, but it’s one that you can eat over and over.  I’m in love.

Tuesday

On Tuesday I’m taking on my EasyPaleo Facebook Challenge (thanks Wendy Shaw – I love my Facebook peeps!), and making Chocolate Chili from Well Fed.  I’ve been wanting to try this, so I’m pumped for Tuesday!

Wednesday

On Wednesday I’m making Sarah Fragoso’s Smokey Roast, with a side of Brussels Sprouts with Bacon.  YUM.

Thursday

On Thursday we’ll have Garlic Ginger Chicken.  The folks over at The Food Lover’s Primal Palate are claiming that this is the BEST chicken dish ever.  They even made it twice in one week.  I must try this dish ASAP.  On the side: a big salad with my new FAVORITE salad dressing.

Friday

On Friday we’re having dinner with my husband’s parents.  I’m not sure what we’ll be eating, but I’ll report back.  :)

Saturday

On Saturday, we’re having meatloaf.  I absolutely love this recipe for meatloaf… it never gets old!  I think some curried cauliflower and leftover salad might be good sides.

______________

What a delicious week!

What’s on your menu this week?
